Game Changing Technologies for Agriculture 2019 is organised by the Department of International Trade to showcase technologies being developed in agriculture.
Itaka Crop Solution is attending for the first time and CEO Vincenzo Brugaletta comments: “Itaka is a young company with a number of innovative microbial solutions and natural extract formulations for sustainable agriculture, the event will be a great opportunity to network with others in the industry particularly the research community.”
Itaka invests in a range of research and development activities, including funding basic research on naturally occurring extracts and bioactive ingredients.
The company is continually improving and expanding its product portfolio and is involved in studies to screen the best candidates and optimise formulations to provide growers with innovative products.
Itaka also supports a number of large-scale collaborative projects, including:
- SolACE – Solutions for improving Agro-ecosystem and Crop Efficiency for water and nutrient use – which aims to help European agriculture respond effectively to major challenges.
- LIVESEED – which aims to encourage greater use of organic seed by improving transparency and competitiveness within the organic seed and breeding sector.
- BRESOV – which aims to improve the performance of three economically significant important vegetable crops: broccoli, snap bean and tomato.Game
